Our Board of Directors

 

Chattanooga Agricultural Credit Association is governed by a local Board of Directors representing all areas of our territory. Five Directors are member-borrowers and are elected by the membership at our annual stockholders' meeting. Each member, regardless of the size of his account, has one vote in who is elected to our Board of Directors.

Chattanooga ACA Directors

Jack Sanders, Chairman of the Board, was elected to a three-year term expiring in 2011.  Mr. Sanders owns and operates a farm in Bradley County, Tennessee. He is President of Bradley County Farm Bureau and serves on the Farm Bureau State Insurance Board. He is also a member of Southeastern Farmers Cooperative. Mr. Sanders has a B.S. from Mars Hill College.

David Singleton, Vice Chairman of the Board, was re-elected to a three-year term expiring in 2012.  He has been a Board member since 1996 and was elected to serve as Vice Chairman in 2008.  Mr. Singleton operates 134 acres in Bledsoe County on which he raises beef cattle, hay and poultry.  He is a member of the Bledsoe County Farm Bureau and Tennessee Cattlemen’s Association.

Edsel Freels was elected to a three-year term expiring in 2013. Mr. Freels owns and operates a farm in Rhea County, Tennessee. He is President of Rhea County Farm Bureau, Chairman of Rhea County FSA Committee, and a board member of Burley Tobacco Cooperative. He is also a member of Southeastern Farmers Cooperative. 

Bobby Carter was re-elected to a three-year term expiring in 2012.  Mr. Carter owns and operates a crop and livestock program in McMinn County, Tennessee.  He is a member of Farmers Burley Co-op, McMinn County Farm Bureau, and a member of the Ag Committee of U. T. Ag Extension Service.

Clark D. Garland - Professor and Coordinator of MANAGE, Agricultural Economics, University of Tennessee has been selected by the board to fill the position of Outside Director for the association, effective January 2005. Dr. Garland has a B.S. from Tennessee Technology University in Agronomy and a M.S. and Ph.D., from the University of Tennessee in Agricultural Economics.

David Richesin was elected to a three-year term expiring in 2011.  Mr. Richesin owns and operates a farm in Loudon County, Tennessee. He is a board member of Foot Hills Farmers Cooperative and Vice President of Loudon County Farm Bureau. He is also a member of the State Farm Bureau Commodity Committee. Mr. Richesin has a B.S. in Agricultural Business from the University of Tennessee.
